Strengthening Employment Consultation and Job Placement
Tuyên Quang Province implemented effective measures to create new job opportunities, including enhanced partnerships in vocational training, career counseling, job placement, and investment attraction.
At vocational training institutions within the province, enrollment is increasingly aligned with market needs. Many high-demand professions, relevant to the local context, have drawn rural workers. Notable examples include automotive technology, industrial electricity, and heavy machinery operation.
According to a leader at Tuyên Quang Technical and Technological Vocational College, the institution exceeded its enrollment targets for 2024. Currently, the school trains over 1,700 students annually and plans to expand to 2,000 students per year by 2025. Educational quality is improving steadily, focusing on competency-based training, soft skills development, foreign language proficiency, and advanced vocational skills to meet the demand for quality labor. The school actively collaborates with businesses for job placement and invites companies to directly counsel, interview, and recruit students. These efforts ensure a high rate of immediate employment for graduates.
Job Fairs: Connecting Labor with Opportunities
In 2024, multiple job fairs were organized across all districts and cities, each attracting 1,000–2,000 participants. At these fairs, businesses and vocational training institutions introduced thousands of job positions and training opportunities, enabling workers to secure suitable employment. These events effectively connected job seekers with employers and boosted incomes and living standards.
Investment Attraction Creates Employment
Tuyên Quang Province also implemented various preferential policies, encouraging large corporations to invest in local industrial zones. These investments created thousands of new jobs for local workers.
Surpassing Targets
As of the beginning of 2024, over 26,300 new jobs have been created in the province, exceeding the annual target by 116%. This includes more than 16,500 jobs in provincial economic sectors, over 8,200 jobs in other provinces, and nearly 1,500 workers employed abroad under contract.
As 2025 marks the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, consistent overachievement in employment targets provides a strong foundation for the province’s goals. These efforts contribute to poverty reduction and increased income for the local population.
