Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway project connects with Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway at IC9 intersection in Phu Tho town, Phu Tho province and the starting point at Luong Vuong commune (Tuyen Quang city). The project is invested in the form of public investment, with a total length of 40.2 km (11.3 km in Tuyen Quang province; 28.9 km in Phu Tho province); total investment of 3,753 billion VND; scale of 4 lanes; Operating speed 90Km/h.
Leaders from the Ministry of Transport provided an overview of four projects during the occasion. The Central Committee and Politburo's resolution on socioeconomic development orientations, which ensures national defense and security in the Northern Midlands, Mountains and the Mekong Delta, is what led to the completion and implementation of the projects. Initiatives have a critical role in fostering connections, providing impetus for the advancement of interregional economies, and establishing avenues for future growth.

The project was started in February 2021. This is one of the important projects assigned to the local People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province as the investor.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of transportation during the project's opening ceremony. In particular, he mentioned the significance that highways, airports, and wharves have played in creating development of socioeconomic, national security, and defense goals, fostering an environment that encourages increased interaction and easy travel.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his appreciation to the locals in the project's path for accepting the relocation plans, which made the projects' execution easier.
The Prime Minister suggested that the recently concluded projects be implemented with a sense of urgency, sincerity, and commitment, and that the next works and projects be carried out in the near future using these resources. To ensure the construction of projects ensures quality and prevents waste, we must continue to innovate, apply flexibly, promote decentralization, and strengthen supervision and inspection during the implementation process. All of these efforts are necessary to support the "self-reliance" of localities and the combined strength of the entire political system and the populace.
