This initiative is part of the province's strategy to protect the environment and sustainably develop forest resources.
In this plan, Yen Son District is expected to have the largest forest planting area, with 3,000 hectares. Ham Yen District will also contribute with over 2,300 hectares, while Son Duong and Chiem Hoa Districts are planning to plant 1,750 hectares and nearly 1,600 hectares, respectively.
To ensure the progress and quality of the reforestation program, the Tuyen Quang Directorate for Forest Rangers has urged localities, forestry companies, centers, and tree seedling businesses to take the initiative in seedling cultivation. Furthermore, the quality of seedlings needs to be closely monitored to ensure that they meet the required standards when supplied to local households. Necessary conditions for establishing production forests will also be thoroughly prepared to ensure the highest effectiveness in sustainable forest management.
Notably, the Provincial People's Committee has decided to support 3,100 hectares of high-quality forestry seedlings for families and individuals in need of planting production forests. These seedlings include hybrid acacia produced through tissue culture and Acacia mangium (Tai Tuong acacia) grown from imported seeds, both of which are high-potential species that will help farmers improve production efficiency.
This is an important step not only to develop the forestry sector in the province but also to contribute to environmental protection, mitigate the impact of climate change, and create job opportunities for local people.
